feeling stressed?

a page to help calm down

if you're reading this and are currently having a really hard time mentally, i get it man.

anxiety and panic attacks are no joke. i get them all the time, and i can imagine how you're feeling at the moment.

please feel free to stay here for a while, or have this page open in the background if you need it.
below are some things that have helped me through moments like this, and i hope that they can help you out too:

  1. control and focus on your breathing.
    try your best to inhale for 5 seconds and then exhale for 5 seconds
  2. hug a large pillow or a plush toy.
    focus on the small things like the texture, the weight, or even the patterns and colours of your chosen object
  3. fidget around with something.
    fidget toys are the goat! maybe practice some tricks with a tech deck, or spin a pen, or click the buttons on a fidget cube
  4. listen to something ambient.
    rain noises, the tides coming in, or even a lofi playlist (if you're into that sort of thing) works wonders

most importantly though, just know that everything will be okay.
panic attacks are normal to have, and you're not alone in having them

there are dedicated support networks and services out there if you need them too.

if you're not comfortable with that though, try getting in touch with a friend
talking to people can be scary at first, but trust me, you'll feel so much better afterwards
